STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five

AN ACT relative to the definition of a deadly weapon.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Criminal Code; General Definitions. Amend RSA 625:11, II to read as follows:

II. “Person”, “he”, “she”, and “actor” include any natural person and, a corporation or an unincorporated association.

2 Criminal Code; General Definitions. Amend RSA 625:11, V to read as follows:

V. “Deadly weapon” means any [firearm, knife or other] substance or thing which, in the manner it is used, intended to be used, or threatened to be used, is known to be capable of producing death or serious bodily injury.

3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2006.
