STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five

AN ACT including multiple sclerosis in the catastrophic illness program.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

65:1 Catastrophic Illness Program; Multiple Sclerosis Included. Amend RSA 137-G:2, II to read as follows:

II. “Catastrophic illness” means cancer, hemophilia, end-stage renal disease, spinal cord injury [or], cystic fibrosis, or multiple sclerosis, the treatment of which requires extensive medical care such as hospitalization, medication, diagnostic evaluation, surgery, dialysis, therapy, or other associated medical expenses such as transportation to and from medical facilities.

65:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
