STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six
AN ACT relative to the statement of purpose in the statewide education improvement and assessment program.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Statewide Education Improvement and Assessment Program; Statement of Purpose Amended. Amend RSA 193-C:1, I to read as follows:
I. Improvement and accountability in education are of primary concern to all of the citizens of New Hampshire. A well-educated populace is essential for the maintenance of [democracy] our constitutional republic pursuant to article IV, section IV of the constitution for the united states of America, for the continued growth of our economy, and the encouragement of personal enrichment and development.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
