AN ACT relative to donation of compensation by members of the general court.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT relative to donation of compensation by members of the general court.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Compensation Under Part II, Article 15 of the Constitution; Donations; Purpose. Amend RSA 14 by inserting after section 15-b the following new section:

14:15-c Compensation; Donations; Purpose. Any member may elect to donate his or her compensation under part II, article 15 of the New Hampshire constitution to the secretary of state to be used directly for the printing and distribution of copies of the New Hampshire Constitution.

2 New Paragraph; Mileage Account. Amend RSA 14:15-a by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:

III. Mileage reimbursement to members under this section shall not be considered wages and shall be paid from an account specially designated for legislative travel reimbursement.

3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
