STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six
AN ACT permitting the use of certain campers or recreational vehicles in manufactured housing parks.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Allowance of Certain Recreational Vehicles in Manufactured Housing Parks. Amend RSA 205-A by inserting after section 2 the following new section:
205-A:2-a Recreational Vehicles and Camping Vehicles. Municipalities shall not prohibit the use of recreational vehicles and camping vehicles for year-round living in housing parks if:
I. The vehicle is legally and safely connected to the park’s operating electrical, water, and sewer utilities;
II. The occupants have insulated or otherwise protected the water line from freezing;
III. The occupants are operating a heating system that is independent of a vehicle engine;
IV. The living space walls are insulated;
V. The living space contains both a carbon monoxide alarm and a fire alarm;
VI. The manufactured housing park normally accepts recreational vehicles and camping vehicles; and
VII. The manufactured housing park has municipal subdivision approval under RSA 674:35.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
