STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT requiring elementary school instruction in proverbs.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; School Boards; Instruction in Proverbs. Amend RSA 189 by inserting after section 10 the following new section:

189:10-a Instruction in Proverbs. The school board of each school district shall ensure that all pupils in kindergarten through grade 8 are instructed in proverbs as part of the school curriculum. Such proverbs shall be derived from various sources, countries, and cultural backgrounds.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
