AN ACT relative to the oversight committee on health and human services.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT relative to the oversight committee on health and human services.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services; Membership. Amend RSA 126-A:13, I to read as follows:

I. There shall be an oversight committee on health and human services consisting of [8] 10 members as follows:

(a) [3] 4 members of the senate, at least one of whom shall be a member of the senate health and human services committee [and], one of whom shall be a member of the senate finance committee, and one of whom shall be a member of the senate executive departments and administration committee, appointed by the president of the senate; and

(b) [5] 6 members of the house of representatives, 4 of whom shall be from the health, human services and elderly affairs committee, [and] one of whom shall be from the house finance committee, and one of whom shall be a member of the house executive departments and administration committee, appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives.

2 New Paragraph; Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services; Duty Added. Amend RSA 126-A:15 by inserting after paragraph I-a the following new paragraph:

I-b. In addition to its duties under paragraphs I and I-a, the committee shall also monitor any organizational changes made within the department of health and human services.

3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
