AN ACT relative to fertility insurance coverage for out-of-state coverage holders who are living in New Hampshire.

This bill requires insurers in New Hampshire to provide fertility treatments to residents of New Hampshire who are employed by another state if such employer provides coverage for such treatment to its employees.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT relative to fertility insurance coverage for out-of-state coverage holders who are living in New Hampshire.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Fertility Insurance Coverage. Amend RSA 415-A by inserting after section 2-b the following new section:

415-A:2-c Fertility Insurance Coverage. No accident or health insurance policy issued or renewed after the effective date of this section shall deny insurance coverage for fertility treatment for persons residing in New Hampshire and employed in another state if the out-of-state employer provides such coverage to its employees.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
