STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT relative to the Franklin school district.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Franklin School District; Education Funding. Notwithstanding RSA 198, upon the effective date of this act and for one year thereafter, the Franklin school district shall receive no education grant funds.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.

HB 1617-FN-LOCAL - FISCAL NOTE

AN ACT relative to the Franklin school district.

FISCAL IMPACT:

      The Department of Education states this bill will decrease state expenditures and local revenue by $7,044,859 in FY 2007. There will be no fiscal impact on state and county revenue or county and local expenditures.

METHODOLOGY:

    The Department states this bill will take affect after the final FY 2006 grant payment is made on April 1, 2006, but before the first FY 2007 grant payment on September 1, 2006. The Franklin school district’s grant payment for FY 2007 will be reduced from $7,044,859 to $0.
