AN ACT extending certain studies and adding a certain duty relative to pharmacy reimbursement.

AMENDED ANALYSIS

This bill extends the reporting dates for certain studies.

This bill also extends the committee to study Medicaid reimbursement rates for pharmacy providers, established in 2005, 73, and adds a duty to the committee’s study. The extension of this committee and the new duty was requested by the committee established in 2005, 73.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT extending certain studies and adding a certain duty relative to pharmacy reimbursement.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

252:1 Commission to Develop a Comprehensive State Mental Health Plan; Reporting Date Extended. Amend 2005, 175:19 to read as follows:

175:19 Report. The commission shall report its findings and any recommendations for proposed legislation to the speaker of the house of representatives, the senate president, the house clerk, the senate clerk, the governor, and the state library in an interim report on or before December 1, [2005] 2007 and in a final report on or before December 1, [2006] 2008.

252:2 Extension of the New Hampshire Task Force on Deafness and Hearing Loss. Amend 2000, 234:5-a, as inserted by 2001, 177:4 and amended by 2003, 117:4 to read as follows:

234:5-a Extension of Task Force; Reporting Requirements. The task force shall remain in effect until November 1, [2005] 2006, and its members shall continue to serve until November 1, [2005] 2006. The task force shall submit interim reports on its activities and progress to the governor and council, the speaker of the house of representatives, and the president of the senate on November 1, 2003 and November 1, 2004. The task force shall submit its final report and recommendations, including proposals for legislation, to the governor and council, the speaker of the house, and the president of the senate on or before November 1, [2005] 2006.

252:3 Committee to Study Gaming Options for New Hampshire; Reporting Date Extended. Amend 2005, 211:5 to read as follows:

211:5 Report. The committee shall report its findings and any recommendations for proposed legislation to the speaker of the house of representatives, the senate president, the house clerk, the senate clerk, the governor, and the state library on or before [November 1, 2005] June 30, 2006.

252:4 Committee to Study the Special Account in the New Hampshire Retirement System; Reporting Date Extended. Amend 2005, 8:5 to read as follows:

8:5 Report. The committee shall report its findings and any recommendations for proposed legislation to the speaker of the house of representatives, the president of the senate, the house clerk, the senate clerk, the governor, and the state library on or before [September 1, 2005] June 30, 2006.

252:5 Committee to Study the Classifications of Employees as Independent Contractors; Reporting Date Extended. Amend 2005, 134:5 to read as follows:

134:5 Report. The committee shall report its findings and any recommendations for proposed legislation to the speaker of the house of representatives, the president of the senate, the house clerk, the senate clerk, the governor, and the state library on or before November 30, [2005] 2006.

252:6 New Paragraph; Committee to Study Medicaid Reimbursement; Duty Added. Amend 2005, 73:3 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:

III. Examining a closed pharmacy network by region to bid based on price.

252:7 Committee to Study Medicaid Reimbursement; Reporting Date Extended. Amend 2005, 73:5 to read as follows:

73:5 Report. The committee shall report its findings and any recommendations for proposed legislation to the speaker of the house of representatives, the president of the senate, the house clerk, the senate clerk, the governor, and the state library on or before November 1, [2005] 2006.

252:8 Contingent Renumbering. If HB 1763 of the 2006 legislative session becomes law, then paragraph III of 2005, 73:3 as inserted by section 6 of this bill shall be renumbered as paragraph VII.

252:9 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
