This bill allows a school district to engage in negotiations with an individual teacher regarding salary, benefits, or other terms of employment, which exceed the collective bargaining agreement.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five

AN ACT relative to the terms of a collective bargaining agreement in a school district.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; School Boards; Teachers; Collective Bargaining Agreements. Amend RSA 189 by inserting after section 14-g the following new section:

189:14-h Collective Bargaining Agreement; Negotiations. No provision in any collective bargaining agreement duly adopted by a school district shall be construed to prohibit or otherwise limit a school district from negotiating salary, benefits, or other terms of employment with any individual teacher which exceed the collective bargaining agreement.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
