AN ACT renaming a certain bridge in the town of Stratford the Janice Peaslee Bridge.

This bill renames the bridge known as the Maidstone-Stratford Hollow Bridge that spans the Connecticut River between the towns of Stratford, New Hampshire and Maidstone, Vermont, the Janice Peaslee Bridge.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT renaming a certain bridge in the town of Stratford the Janice Peaslee Bridge.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

113:1 Town of Stratford; The Janice Peaslee Bridge. Pursuant to RSA 4:43, the bridge known as the Maidstone-Stratford Hollow Bridge that spans the Connecticut River between the towns of Stratford, New Hampshire and Maidstone, Vermont, shall be renamed the Janice Peaslee Bridge.

113:2 Signage. The cost of design, construction, maintenance, and installation of any signage, replacement signage, or other markers required under section 1 of this act shall not be a charge to the state. However, the design, construction, and installation of any signage or other markers required under this act shall be approved by the department of transportation.

113:3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
