STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT requiring the joint legislative committee on administrative rules to study procedures for agency responses to complaints from the public.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Study Required; Joint Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules.

I. The joint legislative committee on administrative rules, established in RSA 541-A:2, shall study the procedures that state agencies should be required to use in order to respond to complaints from the public. The study shall address the need for hearings, time frame for responses, and other matters related to complaints from the public.

II. The committee shall report its findings and any recommendations for proposed legislation to the president of the senate, the speaker of the house of representatives, the senate clerk, the house clerk, the governor, and the state library on or before November 1, 2006.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
