SB 291-FN - FISCAL NOTE

AN ACT relative to food service licensure for youth camps.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The Department of Health and Human Services states this bill will increase state revenue by $10,350 in FY 2007 and each year thereafter. There will be no fiscal impact on state, county and local expenditures or county or local revenue.

METHODOLOGY:

The Department indicated there are 156 Licensed Youth Recreation Camps that would be subject to inspection and licensure by the food protection section. The Department estimated the increase in general fund revenue from license fees would be $10,350. The Department stated, since the inspections would be seasonal, the food protection staff could realign their schedules and conduct the inspections without incurring additional costs beyond the current budget.
