STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT relative to payment of unreimbursed storm-related damages incurred by the town of Hanover and affected surrounding towns and making an appropriation therefor.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Appropriation for Storm Losses Sustained on June 10, 2005. The state shall pay 25 percent of unreimbursed storm losses incurred as a result of storm damage on June 10, 2005 in the towns of Hanover, Enfield, Canaan, Grafton, Dorchester, Lyme, and Alexandria. The sum of $750,000 is hereby appropriated to the department of safety, bureau of emergency management, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006, for distribution to the affected municipalities. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sum out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. In this section, “unreimbursed storm loss” means losses that are unpaid by the Federal Emergency Management Agency or any other state or federal program.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
