STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven
AN ACT requiring bottled water labels to indicate the source of the water.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Sanitary Production and Distribution of Food; Manufacture and Sale of Beverages; Bottled Water Labels. Amend RSA 143 by inserting after section 16 the following new section:
143:16-a Bottled Water Labels. All bottles, packages, or containers of bottled water sold, offered for sale, or bottled in this state shall bear a clear and prominent label indicating the specific location at which the water was obtained, including the address of a water purveyor, artesian or driven well, spring, or other point of origin.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
