AN ACT relative to the appointment of the executive director of the public employee labor relations board.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven
AN ACT relative to the appointment of the executive director of the public employee labor relations board.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Executive Director Removed. Amend RSA 273-A:2, IV to read as follows:
IV. The board may appoint [an executive director and such other] staff, including counsel, as it deems necessary, who shall serve at the pleasure of the board.
2 New Section; Executive Director Appointed. Amend RSA 273 by inserting after section 2-a the following new section:
273-A:2-b Executive Director. The executive director of the board shall be appointed by the governor, with the consent of the council, and shall serve for a term of 4 years and may be reappointed. The executive director shall be qualified to hold the position by reason of education and experience. A vacancy shall be filled for the unexpired term.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2007.
