STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven

AN ACT relative to signs for the Souhegan Valley.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Department of Transportation; Souhegan Valley Signage. The department of transportation shall erect 14 signs with the wording “Welcome to the Souhegan Valley” at the following locations:

I. From the South:

(a) Route 123A at New Ipswich.

(b) Route 31 at Mason.

(c) Route 124 at Mason.

(d) Route 123 at Mason.

(e) Route 13 at Brookline.

(f) Route 122 at Hollis.

(g) Route 111 at Hollis.

II. From the West-Northwest:

(a) Routes 123 and 124 after entering New Ipswich from Sharon.

(b) Route 101 near the base of Temple Mountain.

(c) Route 31 North of the Wilton town line in Lyndeborough.

(d) Route 45 South of the village in Temple.

III. From the North: Routes 13, 77, and 136 after the New Boston intersection.

IV. From the East:

(a) Route 130 entering Hollis from Nashua.

(b) Route 101A entering Amherst from Merrimack.

(c) Route 101 entering Amherst from Bedford.

2 Design, Construction, Installation, and Maintenance. The cost of design, construction, installation, and maintenance of said signage shall not be a charge to the state. However, the design, construction, and installation of such signage shall be approved by the department of transportation.

3 Effective Date. This bill shall take effect upon its passage.
