AN ACT relative to the 5-year assessment review by the department of revenue administration, and ratifying certain actions of the 2007 Kearsarge regional school district meeting.

This bill establishes a new 5-year municipal assessment review schedule beginning April 1, 2007 to be done by the department of revenue administration.
This bill also ratifies certain actions of the 2007 Kearsarge regional school district meeting relative to collective bargaining cost items for teachers.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven
AN ACT relative to the 5-year assessment review by the department of revenue administration, and ratifying certain actions of the 2007 Kearsarge regional school district meeting.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
214:1 Department of Revenue Administration; Implementation of Assessment Review. Amend RSA 21-J:11-b, I to read as follows:
I. The commissioner of revenue administration shall adopt a schedule so that each city, town, and unincorporated place has its assessments reviewed within 5 years of April 1, [2002] 2007, and shall notify each city, town, and unincorporated place, within 60 days of passage of this act, of the property tax year for which their [initial] assessment review shall occur.
214:2 Ratification of Kearsarge Regional School District Meeting. All acts, votes, notices, and proceedings held on January 20, 2007 and March 13, 2007 to raise and appropriate $881,145 under warrant article 2, relating to collective bargaining cost items for teachers, are hereby legalized, ratified, and confirmed.
214:3 Effective Date.
I. Section 1 of this act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
II. The remainder of this act shall take effect upon its passage.
