This bill requires the state board for the licensing and regulation of plumbers to determine the feasibility of reestablishing reciprocity with Maine and Vermont in licensing of plumbers. The board shall issue a report on its recommendation.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven

AN ACT requiring the plumbers’ board to report on the feasibility of reestablishing reciprocity with neighboring states in licensing of plumbers.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

84:1 Plumbers’ Board; Reciprocity in Licensing of Plumbers; Report. The state board for the licensing and regulation of plumbers established in RSA 329-A:3 shall determine the feasibility of reestablishing reciprocity in the licensure and regulation of plumbers with the states of Maine and Vermont. The board shall consider all benefits and disadvantages of reciprocity for licensed plumbers and for the general public. The board shall present its findings and any recommendations concerning the establishment of reciprocity with Maine and Vermont to the speaker of the house of representatives, the senate president, the house clerk, the senate clerk, the chairpersons of the house and senate executive departments and administration committees, and the state library on or before November 1, 2007.

84:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
