STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven

AN ACT making an appropriation to provide a death benefit for the family of a seasonal department of transportation employee.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Appropriation; Provision of Death Benefit for the Family of a Seasonal Department of Transportation Employee. The sum of $20,000, the death benefit he would have been entitled to had he been a permanent employee, is appropriated for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008 to the beneficiaries of Brent Jackson Jr., a full-time seasonal employee of the department of transportation who died while employed by the department. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sum out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2007.

HB 435-FN-A - FISCAL NOTE

AN ACT making an appropriation to provide a death benefit for the family of a seasonal department of transportation employee.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The Department of Transportation states this bill will increase state general fund expenditures by $20,000 in FY 2008. There will be no fiscal impact on state, county and local revenue or county and local expenditures.

This bill appropriates $20,000 in FY 2008 from the general fund to the Department of Transportation for the purposes of this bill.

METHODOLOGY:

The Department of Transportation states this bill appropriates $20,000 in FY 2008 from the general fund to the Department. The Department states it will make one death benefit payment of $20,000 in FY 2008.
