STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven
AN ACT relative to the rights of citizens.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Rights of Citizens.
I. The people of this state shall forever have the freedom to choose their political status in human society. The people may confirm their political status pursuant to 15 Statutes at Large, chapter 249, entitled, “Rights of an American Citizen in Foreign States,” now codified at 8 U.S.C. section 1481(a)(2).
II. No government shall require any contract or exercise any compelled performance upon an American citizen, except for the prosecution of criminal violations.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
