STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven

AN ACT relative to the unlawful adoption of part 2, article 72-a of the New Hampshire constitution.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Constitutional Article. The general court finds that the New Hampshire supreme court has stated that whenever a constitutional amendment is “intertwined” with another constitutional amendment, it is unlawful. Therefore, since part 2, article 4 of the New Hampshire constitution includes a parenthetical reference to part 2, article 72-a; article 72-a, relative to the supreme and superior court and the authority of the general court to establish lower courts, was unlawfully adopted and is unenforceable.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
