STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven

AN ACT relative to an exception to the wiretapping and eavesdropping statute for recording images or sounds occurring where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Subparagraph; Wiretapping and Eavesdropping; Interception and Disclosure. Amend RSA 570-A:2 by inserting after subparagraph (k) the following new subparagraph:

(l) A person to make an audio or video recording of images or sounds, or both, which occur in a place where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy, for any lawful purpose.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2008.
