STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven

AN ACT naming the state law library the John W. King law library.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

126:1 Statement of Intent. The general court hereby recognizes the achievements of John W. King, who served as minority leader of the New Hampshire house of representatives from 1958 to 1962, as governor of New Hampshire from 1963 to 1969, as an associate justice of the New Hampshire superior court from 1969 to 1979, as an associate justice of the New Hampshire supreme court from 1979 to 1981, and as chief justice of the New Hampshire supreme court from 1981 to 1986, by naming the state law library on Charles Doe Drive in Concord, New Hampshire the John W. King law library.

126:2 State Law Library Named. Pursuant to RSA 4:43, the state law library on Charles Doe Drive in Concord, New Hampshire shall be renamed the John W. King law library.

126:3 Signage. The cost of design, construction, maintenance, and installation of any signage, replacement signage, or other markers required under section 2 of this act shall not be a charge to the state. However, the design, construction, and installation of any signage or other markers required under this act shall be approved by the department of transportation.

126:4 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
