In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eight
AN ACT relative to signs at polling places.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Distributing Campaign Materials at Polling Place; Signs. Amend RSA 659:43, I to read as follows:
I. No person who is a candidate for office or who is representing or working for a candidate shall distribute or post at a polling place any campaign material in the form of a poster, card, handbill, placard, picture, or circular which is intended to influence the action of the voter within the building where the election is being held. No person shall hold or display more than one campaign sign or placard or hold or display any campaign sign that is larger than 3 feet by 2 feet within 100 feet of the entrance to the building where the election is being held or within a corridor 10 feet wide and extending a distance from the entrance door of the building as determined by the moderator where the election is being held.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2009.
