AN ACT relative to reciprocity with the state of Maine for registration of OHRVs and snowmobiles.

ANALYSIS

This bill requires the executive director of the fish and game department to pursue efforts to encourage the Maine legislature to permit reciprocal agreements for OHRV and snowmobile registrations with the state of New Hampshire.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eight

AN ACT relative to reciprocity with the state of Maine for registration of OHRVs and snowmobiles.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Fish and Game; OHRVs and Snowmobiles; Reciprocity with Maine; Report. The executive director of the fish and game department shall pursue efforts to encourage the legislature of the state of Maine to permit properly registered OHRVs and snowmobiles of New Hampshire resident owners to be granted privileges of operation in Maine, pursuant to a reciprocity exemption in accordance with RSA 215-A:27 and RSA 215-C:47. The executive director shall report on the department’s efforts to the speaker of the house of representatives and the president of the senate no later than October 1, 2008.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
