AN ACT relative to the office of register of probate.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eight

AN ACT relative to the office of register of probate.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Elected Registers of Probate. Upon the adoption of CACR 9 at the 2008 general election, registers of probate holding office at the time of the vote to discontinue such elected office and replace it with an appointive process shall continue to hold office until January 5, 2011, at which time the elected office shall terminate. Any vacancy in said office arising from any cause prior to January 5, 2011 shall be filled by appointment by the judges of the probate court.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect only upon adoption of CACR 9 in the 2008 general election.
