HOUSE BILL 563
AN ACT relative to obtaining certificates of stillbirth for stillborn children.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eight
AN ACT relative to obtaining certificates of stillbirth for stillborn children.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
239:1 New Section; Certificate of Stillbirth. Amend RSA 5-C by inserting after section 75 the following new section:
5-C:75-a Certificate of Stillbirth. The director shall establish a certificate of stillbirth for a fetal death, as defined in RSA 5-C:1, XII, occurring in this state on the following form:

239:2 New Paragraph; Reporting of Fetal Deaths. Amend RSA 5-C:74 by inserting after paragraph IV the following new paragraph:
V. Upon request of a parent, the division shall complete and issue to the parent or parents a certificate of stillbirth for a fetal death, as defined in RSA 5-C:1, XII, on the form established pursuant to RSA 5-C:75-a.
239:3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
