This bill requires the state board of education to adopt rules which, as a condition for approval, require a nonpublic or private school receiving public funds to comply with relevant education, labor, and health and safety laws.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven

AN ACT relative to nonpublic or private schools receiving public funds.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; State Board of Education; Duties. Amend RSA 186:11 by inserting after paragraph XXIX-a the following new paragraph:

XXIX-b. Adopt rules, pursuant to RSA 541-A, which, as a condition for approval, require a nonpublic or private school receiving public funds to comply with relevant education, labor, and health and safety laws.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
