STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eight

A RESOLUTION urging that the federal government enforce existing immigration law.

Whereas, the increase of illegal aliens is creating a situation wherein persons are being subjected to slave-like working conditions and deplorable living conditions.

Whereas, American citizens are being displaced from their jobs by persons working for less than minimum wage.

Whereas, sufficient proof exists that persons intending to cause the destruction of the United States are using the porous Mexican border for access; now therefore be it

Resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the New Hampshire house of representatives respectfully but firmly requests that the United States Congress:

I. Demand that the federal government enforce existing immigration law;

II. Urge the immediate completion of the border fence between Mexico and the United States;

III. Allocate sufficient funds to complete that fence from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico; and

IV. Allocate sufficient funds to employ and maintain staff along that border to protect the people of New Hampshire.

That a copy of this resolution, signed by the speaker of the house of representatives, be forwarded by the house clerk to the President of the United States Senate, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, and the members of the New Hampshire congressional delegation.
