Memorializing State Representative George F. Brown of Rochester

WHEREAS, we have learned with great sorrow of the death of our friend and colleague George F. Brown of Rochester, who was serving his fifth term representing the people of the Lilac City as a respected and valued member of the House of Representatives; and

WHEREAS, George F. Brown was a member of many committees in the House, including Public Protection and Veterans Affairs in 1993-94, Wildlife and Marine Resources as well as Constitutional and Statutory Revision in 1995-96, Election Law from 1997 through 2000 and Executive Departments and Administration in 2007; and

WHEREAS, George F. Brown was known to be a thoughtful committee member, asking questions that were to the point when necessary and participating fully in discussions, quietly stating his opinions; and

WHEREAS, George F. Brown also contributed to his community of Rochester by serving on its school board, planning commission, City Council and as President of the Rochester Little League; and

WHEREAS, George F. Brown was a United States Navy veteran and an active member of several fraternal organizations; and

WHEREAS, to be in the company of George F. Brown was an enjoyable experience, as he was a likeable, nice and friendly man, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, by the New Hampshire House of Representatives in Regular Session convened, that George F. Brown be granted the highest praise and accolades for his dedicated service to his community, his state and his country, and be it further

RESOLVED, that expressions of heartfelt sympathy be extended to the members of his family and a suitable copy of this Resolution be prepared for presentation to them.
