HOUSE RESOLUTION No. 33
Memorializing State Representative Peter R. Goyette of Hudson
WHEREAS, we have learned with great sorrow of the death of our friend and colleague Peter R. Goyette, who was in his third term as a member of the House of Representatives serving the citizens of Hillsborough County District 27, the towns of Hudson, Litchfield and Pelham; and
WHEREAS, Peter R. Goyette served with diligence and enthusiasm for two terms on the Resources, Recreation and Development Committee and a term as a member of the Fish and Game Committee, venues in which his extensive personal experience and interest were highly valued; and
WHEREAS, Pete Goyette served his community in many ways - by organizing an annual fishing derby for handicapped individuals, by cooking and delivering meals to others at Thanksgiving, by being active in service clubs, and by participating in numerous charities; and
WHEREAS, in addition to being an athlete who played football and ran marathons in his younger days and enjoying fishing trips with members of his beloved Red Sox, Pete Goyette was a musician, playing percussion drums with a band in numerous clubs and restaurants throughout New England; and
WHEREAS, Peter R. Goyette was known as a straightforward man who was passionate in his beliefs, as well as being someone who loved to laugh and have others share in his laughter, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the House of Representatives in Regular Session convened, that Peter R. Goyette be granted high praise and accolades for his service to his town and his state; and be it further
RESOLVED, that expressions of heartfelt sympathy be extended to his family, and a suitable copy of this Resolution be prepared for presentation to them.
