STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eight

AN ACT prohibiting hospitals from requiring insurance coverage for organ donations and organ transplants.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Criteria for Organ Donations and Transplants. Amend RSA 151 by inserting after section 18 the following new section:

151:18-a Criteria for Organ Donations and Transplants. A hospital licensed pursuant to this chapter shall not require insurance coverage as a criteria for organ donations and transplants.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
