AN ACT relative to the removal of designations from certain real property by the department of environmental services.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eight

AN ACT relative to the removal of designations from certain real property by the department of environmental services.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Rulemaking; Solid Waste Management. Amend RSA 149-M:7, XIV to read as follows:

XIV. Establish minimum standards for closing all solid waste facilities according to type of waste disposed of; [and] establish state closure guidelines for all facility owners and operators which shall include, but not be limited to, monitoring, restoration, and correction and compliance procedures which may be necessary in the maintenance of a closed landfill facility; and establish procedures to remove the designation of landfill in the records of the department from property on which a solid waste facility has closed.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
