HOUSE BILL 131

AN ACT relative to meetings and reports of the juvenile justice advisory board.

ANALYSIS

This bill provides that the juvenile justice advisory board shall meet at the call of the director of the division of juvenile justice services. The bill also removes the board’s legislative reporting requirement.

This bill is a request of the department of health and human services, division of juvenile justice services.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nine

AN ACT relative to meetings and reports of the juvenile justice advisory board.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Meetings of the Juvenile Justice Advisory Board. Amend RSA 621-A:10, III to read as follows:

III. The advisory board shall elect its own chairperson and officers annually. [The board shall meet monthly, or as deemed necessary, provided that the board shall meet at least once every 3 months.] The board shall convene at the call of the director of the division of juvenile justice services.

2 Repeal. RSA 621-A:11, II, relative to the legislative reporting requirement of the juvenile justice advisory board, is repealed.

3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
