HB 282 FISCAL NOTE

AN ACT relative to compensation for the medical/vision advisory board and making an appropriation therefor.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The Department of Safety states this bill, as amended by the House (Amendment #2009-0063h), will increase state expenditures by $300 in FY 2010 and each year thereafter. This bill will have no fiscal impact on state, county, and local revenue or county and local expenditures.

This bill appropriates $1 from the state general fund in FY 2010 and FY 2011 to the Department of Safety for the purposes of this bill.

METHODOLOGY:

This Department of Safety states this bill would establish per diem compensation of $50 per member for the medical/vision advisory board within the Division of Motor Vehicles and makes a state general fund appropriation of $1 in FY 2010 and FY 2011 for this purpose. The Department states that although the bill appropriates $1, they estimate that the annual per diem expenditures to the board members would be $300, assuming three members and two meetings per year.
