AN ACT relative to annual goals in a home education program.

This bill requires a parent who is providing a home education program to include, as part of the notification process, a written statement affirming that the home education program shall contain instruction in certain subjects as defined in law.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nine
AN ACT relative to annual goals in a home education program.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Home Education; Notification and Other Procedural Requirements. Amend RSA 193-A:5, II to read as follows:
II.(a) Notification made by the parent pursuant to paragraph I shall include a list of the names, addresses, and birth dates of all children who are participating in the home education program, and a written statement by the parent providing home education affirming that the home education program shall comply with RSA 193-A:4, I.
(b) The resident district superintendent or nonpublic school principal shall provide a parent who gives notice of home education under this section with a copy of the state statutes pertaining to home education and any other resources which the superintendent or principal determines may benefit such parent in providing home education.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
