STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nine

AN ACT relative to data collected by health care facilities.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

43:1 Health Care Data Collection. Amend the introductory paragraph and subparagraphs (a)–(d) of RSA 126:25, I to read as follows:

I. Each nursing home, acute care hospital, residential care facility, specialty hospital, or other health care facility licensed under RSA 151 shall file [annually] health care data as required by the commissioner of health and human services, pursuant to RSA 126:27. This data shall include, but not be limited to:

(a) Financial information for its preceding fiscal year, which the commissioner [may] shall require to be in the form of a certified financial statement, including, but not limited to, costs of operation, revenues, assets, liabilities, fund balances, other income, units of services, and aggregate wage and salary data;

(b) The type of ownership and name of owner;

(c) The number and type of beds;

(d) For hospitals, the data now collected not less than annually through the uniform hospital discharge data set [and the annual hospital survey] as amended by rule pursuant to RSA 541-A;

43:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2010.
