SENATE BILL 97
AN ACT relative to customer information regarding the energy sources and environmental characteristics of their electric service.

This bill requires electric service customers to receive information regarding the energy sources and related environmental characteristics of their electric service on or along with their utility bills or service statements on at least a quarterly basis. The public utilities commission is granted the authority to adopt rules relative to standards and procedures for providing this information.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nine
AN ACT relative to customer information regarding the energy sources and environmental characteristics of their electric service.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Public Utilities Commission; Rulemaking Authority. Amend RSA 365:8 by inserting after paragraph XIII the following new paragraph:
XIV. Standards and procedures by which information shall be provided to electrical service customers regarding energy sources and environmental characteristics of their electric service, as required by RSA 378:49.
2 New Subdivision; Rates and Charges; Information for Electric Service Customers. Amend RSA 378 by inserting after section 48 the following new subdivision:
Information for Electric Service Customers
378:49 Information For Electric Service Customers. All electric service customers shall receive information regarding the energy sources and related environmental characteristics of their electric service on or along with their utility bills or service statements on at least a quarterly basis.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
