AN ACT relative to the grounds for suspending or revoking a foster home license.

ANALYSIS

This bill permits the department of health and human services to suspend or revoke a foster family home license based on the repeated inability or unwillingness of the foster parent to work collaboratively with the department, parent, or other service providers.

This bill was requested by the department of health and human services.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Ten

AN ACT relative to the grounds for suspending or revoking a foster home license.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; License or Permit Suspension, Revocation, or Denial. Amend RSA 170-E:35 by inserting after paragraph XIV the following new paragraph:

XV. Demonstrates a repeated inability or unwillingness to work collaboratively with the department, other service providers, or the parents of a child who is placed with the child care agency, as necessary to implement the child’s case plan or the department’s treatment decisions.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage
