STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Ten
AN ACT relative to applications for hawkers and peddlers licenses.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Hawkers and Peddlers Licenses; Background Check. Amend RSA 31:102-a to read as follows:
IV. Submission to a criminal records check, including submission of a New Hampshire department of safety, division of state police, notarized criminal record release authorization form. Upon receipt of an applicant's criminal record information, the town shall make a determination of eligibility for licensure. The town may deny a license if the town feels the applicant is a threat to public safety.
V. Other reasonable conditions and terms deemed necessary for public convenience and safety as the governing board determines.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
