STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Ten

AN ACT establishing a shoreland advisory committee.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Shoreland Advisory Committee Established Amend RSA 483-B by inserting after section 20 the following new section:

483-B:21 Shoreland Advisory Committee. The department of environmental services shall establish an ad hoc committee to address residential shorefront owner input and perspective relating to the regulation of shoreland development under this chapter and the regulation of shoreline structures under RSA 482-A.

I. The advisory committee shall consist of owners of property within the protected shoreland.

II. Membership shall represent lakes of under 1,000 acres, lakes of over 1,000 acres, rivers of fourth order or above, and tidal shoreland. There shall be 2 members from each of the 10 counties.

III. The council shall meet at least 4 times per year.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
