This bill requires the commissioner of the department of environmental services to give priority for state aid to communities with wastewater and public water supply projects that were eligible for such aid, but unfunded in fiscal years 2009, 2010, and 2011, on a first-in, first-out basis as such funds become available.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Ten

AN ACT relative to state aid for wastewater and public water supply projects.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

63:1 Wastewater and Public Water Supply Projects; Priority Given. As new revenue or appropriations become available to fund state aid under RSA 486 or RSA 486-A, the department of environmental services shall give priority on a first-in, first-out basis to communities that had wastewater projects eligible under RSA 486 or public water supply projects eligible under RSA 486-A that were not funded in fiscal year 2009, fiscal year 2010, or fiscal year 2011.

63:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.

HB 1606-FN - FISCAL NOTE

AN ACT relative to state aid for wastewater and public water supply projects.

FISCAL IMPACT:

      The Department of Environmental Services states this bill, as amended by the House (Amendment #2010-0469h), will have no fiscal impact on state, county and local revenue or expenditures.

METHODOLOGY:

    The Department of Environmental Services states this bill requires that as state aid grant funds become available priority will be given on a first in, first out basis to those communities with eligible projects in FY 2009, FY 2010, or FY 2011.
