STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Ten

AN ACT relative to motor vehicle records.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Motor Vehicle Records; Local Enforcement. Amend RSA 260:14 by inserting after paragraph III-b the following new paragraph:

III-c. Except for a person’s photograph, computerized image, and social security number, motor vehicle records may be made available to the local official with authority to prosecute an offense under any municipal code, ordinance, bylaw, or regulation for the purpose of the issuance of a local ordinance citation as provided by RSA 31:39-d. Any records received under this paragraph shall not be further transferred or otherwise made available to any other person not authorized under this paragraph.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
