This bill repeals labeling requirements for oleomargarine sold in less quantities than the original packages contain and for serving colored oleomargarine.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven

AN ACT repealing certain provisions relating to the sale of oleomargarine.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Repeal. The following are repealed:

I. RSA 184:50, relative to sale of broken packages of oleomargarine.

II. RSA 184:52, relative to serving colored oleomargarine.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.

HB 333 FISCAL NOTE

AN ACT repealing certain provisions relating to the sale of oleomargarine.

FISCAL IMPACT:

      The New Hampshire Municipal Association states this bill may have an indeterminable fiscal impact on local revenue and expenditures. There will be no fiscal impact on state and county revenue or expenditures.

METHODOLOGY:

    The New Hampshire Municipal Association states this bill eliminates the labeling and serving restrictions on oleomargarine which changes the enforcement responsibilities of municipal health officers. The Municipal Association indicated the fiscal impact of the change is not known.

    The Department of Health and Human Services states the repeal of these sections of law would not alter the responsibilities of the Department and the Department anticipates no fiscal impact.
