HOUSE BILL 404
AN ACT relative to toilets at campgrounds and exclusions for such requirements for certain parcels of land.

This bill adds composting toilets to the list of toilet facilities for recreational campgrounds or camping parks and excludes any parcel of land not developed by the owner for the purpose of operating commercially as a recreational campground or camping park.

AN ACT relative to toilets at campgrounds and exclusions for such requirements for certain parcels of land.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Recreational Campgrounds and Camping Parks; Definitions. Amend RSA 216-I:1, VII to read as follows:
VII. “Recreational campground or camping park” means a parcel of land on which 2 or more campsites are occupied or are intended for temporary occupancy for recreational dwelling purposes only, and not for permanent year-round residency, excluding recreation camps as defined in RSA 485-A:23, and excluding any parcel of land that has not been developed by the owner for the purpose of operating commercially as a recreational campground or camping park.
2 Recreational Parks and Campgrounds; Disposal System. Amend RSA 216-I:4, III to read as follows:
III. Flush toilets, composting toilets, or other approved toilet facilities shall be provided in all recreational campgrounds or camping parks.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
