AN ACT relative to the membership on the advanced manufacturing education advisory council.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven

AN ACT relative to the membership on the advanced manufacturing education advisory council.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

20:1 New Subparagraph; Advisory Council Membership. Amend RSA 188-E:22, I by inserting after subparagraph (c) the following new subparagraph:

(d) The commissioner of the department of resources and economic development, or designee.

20:2 Advisory Council Membership; Renumbered. Amend RSA 188-E:22, I(d)-(g) to read as follows:

[(d)] (e) The president of the New Hampshire technical institute, or designee.

[(e)] (f) The dean of the university of New Hampshire college of engineering and physical sciences, or designee.

[(f)] (g) Three superintendents from school administrative units in which at least one school offers an advanced manufacturing curriculum to its students, appointed by the governor and council.

(h) Two directors of a regional career and technical center, appointed by the governor and council.

[(g)] (i) Six members of the public representing businesses or other organizations, firms, or institutions representing advanced manufacturing industries in New Hampshire, appointed by the governor and council.

20:3 Reference Change; Advisory Council Membership. Amend RSA 188-E:22, II(a) to read as follows:

(a) The term of office for each member appointed under subparagraphs [I(f) and I(g)] I(g), I(h), and I(i) shall be 3 years, or until a successor is appointed and qualified in the case of a vacancy. The term of office for all other members shall be coterminous with the term of office for the position that qualifies that member to serve on the advisory council. A vacancy shall be filled in the same manner, but only for the unexpired term.

20:4 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
