STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twelve
AN ACT permitting a charter school to incur long-term debt.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Chartered Public Schools; Duties and Authority of Board of Trustees. Amend RSA 194-B:5, III(h) to read as follows:
(h) For chartered public schools that have been in operation for 5 or more years, to incur long-term debt for the purpose of purchasing buildings or land, or for new construction or renovations to existing buildings.
(i) To have such other powers that are available to a business corporation formed under RSA 293-A and that are not inconsistent with this chapter.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
