AN ACT relative to the statute of limitations for violations involving a motor vehicle accident resulting in death or serious bodily injury.

This bill allows the prosecution of a violation involving a motor vehicle accident resulting in death or serious bodily injury up to 6 months after the accident.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twelve

AN ACT relative to the statute of limitations for violations involving a motor vehicle accident resulting in death or serious bodily injury.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Subparagraph; Limitations; Accidents Resulting in Death or Serious Bodily Injury. Amend RSA 625:8, III by inserting after subparagraph (g) the following new subparagraph:

(h) For any violation involving a motor vehicle accident resulting in death or serious bodily injury, within 6 months of the accident.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2013.
